Travels
Travel before event
The course starts in Bergen with registration at the KMD faculty main building.

Travel during event
Monday: After registration and our opening keynote, transport will be made available for registered participants.
Tuesday: The boat departs from Bergen harbor (Bryggen) at 12.30. Depending on weather conditions, the arrival time in Stord may change.
Wednesday: This day will in its entirety be at Rommetveit Campus. We will use city transport for this.
Thursday: The event finishes on the boat at 14.00.
Travel after event
We recommend using the express boat leaving at 14.10 from Leirvik kai (100 m from our docked boat) if you are heading to Bergen or Bergen Airport after the event.

The Boat
Please follow this link to get an overview of the boat. We will also include the bulk of this information in our event app.

The course fee includes the following meals:
- Registration lunch*
- Lunches on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
- Tea, coffee and fruits during all breaks.
All other meals are covered by separate choices upon registration.
Accommodation
Staying at the boat
We have a limited number of cabins available at registration opening (February 1st). The announced price includes breakfast.
Staying at land
You are of course free to make your own accoommodation if you wish to do so. For other cheap stays, we recommend using AirBnb, and other booking sites such as Hotels.com and Booking.com. Contact us if you want recommendation for a hotel stay.

About GRS
Grieg Research School in Interdisciplinary Music Studies offer research education courses that gather PhD and artistic research candidates in a range of music disciplines, such as music education, music therapy, musicology, and music performance/composition.
Our orientation is international and our platform regional: the research school is based in a network between several MusicNet West institutions: Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, Volda University College, the University of Stavanger and the University of Bergen.
