“After a challenging period, due to the pandemic, we are now feeling positive that we can recover from the setbacks caused by lockdowns and lack of fieldwork, Christopher Henshilwood, Director of the SapienCE Center says.

He is very pleased that the multi-disciplinary team of scientists are proceeding apace with their planned research targets and excavations.

“I’m so proud of the SapienCE team and how everyone has responded to the best of their ability, and in the best interest of continuing our research and pursuing excellent science. I’m certain that it will lead to some great outputs for this year, Henshilwood, says.

We hope you will enjoy reading our annual report where we share our latest research about how and when Homo sapiens evolved into who we are today. Please find the pdf version below.
