The candidates
The Election Committee at the Faculty of Social Sciences are announcing that the following candidates are running for the position as Dean and Deputy Dean for the period 1.8.2025 - 31.7.2029:
- Dean Candidate: Synnøve Kristine Nepstad Bendixsen
- Deputy Dean Candidate: Julie Riise
Frode Guribye will be appointed Vice Dean
The candidates have been nominated by Katharina Sass, Dag Elgesem, Michaël Tatham and Simon Neby.
About the election
Since there was only one proposal for Dean and Deputy Dean, the election will be held with the outgoing faculty board as the electoral assembly.
More than half of the faculty board members must approve for a candidate to be elected.
The election is valid when at least 2/3 of the faculty board members have cast their votes, including blank votes.
If the proposed candidate for Dean or Deputy Dean does not receive a sufficient number of votes from the faculty board, the election process will be restarted.
