Four new PhD positions at VISTA CSD

The Department of Mathematics has opened three new PhD positions in computational mathematics, and the Department of Earth Science has opened one PhD position in mathematically oriented geophysics. The positions are fully financed and integrated in the recently established VISTA CSD.

The Department of Mathematics at the University in Bergen, Norway, invites aspiring graduates to apply to the open positions as a PhD student. All positions are for a fixed-term period of 3 years, with the possibility to prolong for a 4th year when including other compulsory work, e.g., teaching duties or project-related tasks.

The students will be part of the new VISTA Center for Modeling of Coupled Subsurface Dynamics, involving approximately 40 people including faculty, researchers, PhD and master students.
