BIO’s FP7 project coordinating a large European research infrastructure is up and going!

In 2008 UiB / BIO was awarded an FP7 large research infrastructure contract. Researchers from the research group, Marine microbiology at BIO coordinate the project, which is called MESOAQUA: a network of leading MESOcosm facilities to advance the studies of future AQUAtic ecosystems from the Arctic to the Mediterranean.
The project has already held several meetings and workshops and 15 March is the second deadline for applying to participate in mesocosm research at one of the locations in 2010, either as part of a planned experiment there or to undertake one’s own research.
