Synnøve Midtbø Myking

Synnøve Midtbø Myking (b. 1985) is a medievalist whose research focusses on Norwegian and European book culture. In 2017 she defended her Ph.D. thesis, “The French Connection. Norwegian Manuscript Fragments of French Origin and their Historical Context”, which was part of a larger research project at the University of Bergen studying Latin manuscript fragments as a source of knowledge of medieval Norwegian book culture. From 2020 to 2023 she will be conducting the project “Flanders, Norway, and Denmark: Relations and Intertextual Exchanges in the High Middle Ages (ca. 1080–1383)”, which is financed by a mobility grant from the Research Council of Norway.
