Høsten 2015: seminarserie om våre globale utfordringer

The University of Bergen has a special strategic focus on research related to the marine, climate and global societal challenges. With these points of departure, UiB Global will this fall touch on a wide range of global challenges, from water’s role in development, and religious reform in Africa and Latin America, to how science should help drive the new Sustainable Development Goals.

The research groups -- on Global Sustainable Development; Water and the Global Society; and Cultural and Religious Change -- will be instrumental in the process of developing international networks and milieus that can produce the ground-breaking knowledge much needed in this Anthropocene age of globalisation.

Open to all
Researchers and students are invited to meet for cross-disciplinary critique, knowledge exchange and constructive debate. You are welcome to present your research, whether it is in spe or a finalized report. Moreover, theoretical, methodological, empirical or any other angle is welcome.

The seminars are held in UiB Global's seminar room in Jekteviksbakken 31 at 14:00-15.30 every other week.
