Hovedinnhold

The west coast of Norway is regarded as the most resource-rich part of the country, with high economic productivity related to hydropower, fisheries, aquaculture, and the petroleum industry, alongside shifting dynamics in its urban, peri-urban, and rural populations. By choosing Nordhordland - Norway’s first Biosphere Reserve under UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere  programme- to study major challenges in converting to greener development and wealth creation, we aim to build system-wide knowledge and awareness of ecological dynamics and processes in the social-ecological system characteristic of this region.

The TradMod project runs from 2018 to 2022.
