Researcher Mette Strømsø

Mette Strømsø is a researcher for IMEX at the Department of Sociology. In the project, she will contribute with analysis on the majority population—understood as residents in Norwegian local communities—and their attitudes, perceptions and experiences of immigration and integration after the ‘refugee crisis’ in 2015. Mette holds a PhD in Human Geography. Her research interests fall at the intersection of political geography and social and cultural geography, with a focus on everyday nationhood and especially the reconciliation between nation and diversity.
