Childhood
Nurturing care for building the future
Bergen, 5-15 June, 2023
The annual Bergen Summer Research School (BSRS) is an interdisciplinary venue for PhD candidates who want to explore some of the big challenges of our time.
Faced with worsening societal and environmental crises, we will next summer ask how research and evidence can help us create the best foundation for our children?
Inspired by the United Nations’ Nurturing Care Framework, "childhood" is the common theme of our five parallel PhD courses on health, nutrition, education, caregiving, and migration.
Together with joint sessions on systems thinking and creative interdisciplinary problem-solving, crosscutting keynotes, and social events, we offer 100 PhD candidates an opportunity to develop their skills for actionable knowledge. The focus is on research impact, and these sessions facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration.
