Development is a highly dynamic process in which organisms often experience changes in both form and behavior. By using an interdisciplinary approach to study the early life history of the cnidarian Nematostella vectensis – a morphologically simple metazoan species with a complex tissue organization, I will discuss the intimate relationship between behavior and body development and how these organismal properties are coordinated across multiple scales.
This seminar will be in-person only.
