Hovedinnhold

After a beautiful presentation introducing the results of the research project she conducted as a PhD candidate for the past 6 years in the Steinmetz group, Paula shared insightful discussions with her defense opponents Prof. Uri Frank from the University of Galway and Assoc. Prof. Mansi Srivastava from Harvard University. The defense was lead by Prof. Gyri Teien Haugland and Prof. Fabian Rentzsch from the Department of Biological Sciences. Her friends from Norway and abroad, her colleagues from the Centre as well as her family, joining in digitally from Spain, were there to support her on this special day.

“It has been an incredible journey, the project came to a place that is really exciting!”
Paula Miramón-Puértolas

According to tradition, Paula received a graduation hat customized by her teammates as well as an engraved knife from the Department of Biological Sciences. The emotional day ended in celebrations with a dinner in honor of the new Doctor, where her supervisor Dr. Patrick Steinmetz and her friends shared anecdotes in heartfelt speeches. We wish Paula all the best for the next chapter of her career!
