Hovedinnhold
I am a final year law Master’s student at the Department of Law and Administration at Jagiellonian University in Krakow. I am currently preparing my Master’s thesis at the Center of Environmental Law at Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
Since the beginning of my studies I have been particularly interested in the environmental and energy law issues. I am an reccuring speaker at Polish and international academic and activism conferences, covering inter alia the topics of investment procedures for renewable energy sources, power purchase agreements (PPA) and public participation in environmental procedures.
I also work as an activist, particularly in Polish grassroot anti-war climate initiative called Wschód and European organisation Young Friends of Earth, contributing as a legal advisor and conducting workshop on climate litigation and public participation in administrative procedures. Being a strong believer in just energy transition, I am also a policy analyst at European Youth Energy Network’s Youth Energy Consumer Task Force, which aims to bring up the issue of the energy poverty of young people on the EU level, inter alia during the Citizens Energy Forum 2023.
My research stay at the University of Bergen has been possible thanks to Utrecht Network’s Young Researcher’s Grant, which I have received earlier this year. I have chosen to work with the members of the Research group for Natural Resource Law, Environmental Law and Development Law on developing my Master’s thesis, which will cover the topic of comparison between European legislations concerning offshore wind and the ways public can shape the energy transition on the local and national level.
