Hovedinnhold

Tissue and organ formation is a complex developmental process controlled by interactions between various cell types of different origin. During development cells are organized into a variety of three-dimensional (3D) tissue compartments followed by gradual determination and differentiation of cells into organ specific subtypes. The group is researching molecular determinants and regulatory mechanisms of normal and abnormal craniofacial development and growth to understand clinical conditions. The special emphasis is on development of organ structure, innervation and blood supply.
