UiB AI has taken the initiative for externally funded interdisciplinary projects within artificial intelligence. These projects leverage UiB's strength as a comprehensive university with AI research across all faculties.

TMF Trustworthy AI
The Trond Mohn Research Foundation and the University of Bergen launched three projects totaling NOK 40 million in research for more reliable artificial intelligence systems. Read more about it here: Big Boost for AI Research at UiB

LEAD AI
The University of Bergen (UiB) establishes 19 postdoctoral positions related to the research and career development program LEAD AI. The postdoctoral researchers will have a common interdisciplinary training ground, thanks to the support of about €3 million from the EU through the co-funding scheme COFUND Postdoctoral Programmes under Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions.
