Association between dietary macronutrient composition and plasma one-carbon metabolites and B-vitamin cofactors in patients with stable angina pectoris

Hovedinnhold

Researchers at the Hormone laboratory and collaborators have recently published their latest findings in the British Journal of Nutrition.

In the article Association between dietary macronutrient composition and plasma one-carbon metabolites and B-vitamin cofactors in patients with stable angina pectoris, they concluded that dietary macronutrient composition influences plasma concentration of one-carbon metabolites and markers of B-vitamin status. A higher protein intake, as well as replacing SFA with MUFA and PUFA, was associated with a more favourable metabolic phenotype regarding metabolites associated with CVD risk.
