The new European Society of Cardiology guidelines were presented at the largest cardiology conference in the world, ESC 2024 in London 31.08.24. The new guidelines were simultaneously published in the European Heart Journal:

The new guidelines recommend earlier and more effective blood pressure management, and that sex specific risk factors for high blood pressure and heart disease in women, including pregnancy complications, fertility factors and gynecological disorders are included in the overall risk assessment in the individual woman.
