Doctor Proctor’s Collection now at the University Museum

On Friday 8 February you can meet the fabulous animals of Doctor Proctor’s universe based on Jo Nesbø’s books. This is the opening day of the exhibition "Doctor Proctor’s Sensational Collection of Animals You Wish Didn’t Exist. In connection with the opening weekend event, you can hunt for and even create your own version of the scary animal "The Fright of the Museum".

Hovedinnhold

Doctor Proctor’s Sensational Collection of Animals You Wish Didn’t Exist (D.D.S.Ø.I.F.) is an extraordinary exhibition for children aged 5 to 105, which lets you get up close with fantasy animals and creatures which up until today have remained undiscovered and hidden to the public. Some of the animals are funny- and strange-looking creatures. A lot of them are rather nasty, like the enormous Mongolian water vole, the scheming Rev Constrictor, the three metre tall and cruel Moon Chameleon, the fruit animal Ananus, and many more.

An exhibition produced by the Natural History Museum in Oslo in collaboration with Aschehoug Publishing House.

Doctor Proctor and "The Fright of the Museum"

During the opening weekend, visitors will get to know more about the scary animal "The Fright of the Museum". It is uncertain how much we actually know about it, but some traces exist in the Museum. What does it look like? Everybody can make their own version of the scary animal and afterwards you can calm yourself down in the reading corner with Jo Nesbø’s books about Doctor Proctor and his sensational collection.
