Uptake of social security benefits is higher among childhood cancer survivors
A new study from IGS shows that survivors of cancer in young ages (<25 years) receive social security benefits four times more often than the cancer-free population.

Sara Ghaderi and her colleges showed that survivors of malignancies of bone and connective tissues, CNS tumours and malignancies of the haematopoietic system received social security benefits most frequently.
The most notified causes of social security benefit uptake were diseases of the nervous system, and injury and poisoning.
