Focus on community relations
The University of Bergen is the first university in Norway to have an action plan for cooperation with society at large and the business community.

In 2009, an Office of Community Relations was established to work on raising and further developing UiB’s international profile as a research university.
The office will be a place that representatives of the community, and the cultural and business communities can contact when they wish to get in touch with UiB.
The office will also maintain an overview of the university's relations with the world at large and the competence the university can offer.
