English Language Requirements for Exchange Students
English language requirements for exchange students differ depending on which courses you apply for.

All courses for exchange students are carried out in English and we expect that you have sufficient fluency in English in order to cope with your courses from the start.
The required English level differs depending on which courses you apply for:
General courses for exchange students
Level B2 required
You are required to have a minimum of level B2 (CEFR) for all courses offered to exchange students, except for courses in English language and literature.
Level B2 (CEFR) is equivalent to IELTS minimum score: 5.0 or TOEFL minimum score: 60.
How to confirm your English proficiency
We consider the nomination by your home university as confirmation of your English proficiency at level B2. You do not need to submit any test.
Applicants to courses in English Language and Literature must document level C1 (more information below).
Courses in English language and literature
Applicants to courses in English Language and Literature (ENG-courses) must document a minimum level of English proficiency equivalent to C1 (CEFR) by submitting one of the following tests:

Native speakers of English are exempted from documenting their English language proficiency.
