Min forskning involverer innsamling av strukturdata, geologisk kartlegging og anvendelse av analytiske teknikker for å forstå prosessene relatert til dannelse og kollaps av fjellkjeder og til strain lokalisering i skjærsoner. Jeg er spesielt interessert i deformasjon i varme fjellkjeder, spesielt i det Pan-Afrikanske-Brasilianske systemet, og i kalde fjellkjeder, som Kaledonidene. Jeg bruker forskjellige teknikker, som digital geologisk kartlegging, (ArcGis, GIS KIT, Remote sensing og digital billedprosessering, FieldMove Clino, Google Earth, GeoMapApp, QGIS) og AMS («Anisotropy of Magnetic Susceptibility»), analytiske metoder som EBSD («Electron Backscatter Diffraction») og TEM (transmisjonsmikroskopi) for mikrostrutkturelle undersøkelser og termometriske metoder («Titanium-in-quartz», «Titanium-in-zircon» og «Zr-in-rutile») for å estimere temperatur.
