The next edition of the SV’s Supervision Forum will take place 14 March 11.00-12.00. We will discuss how we can support the candidates to submit their PhD theses on time?
Completion of the PhD project within the funding period is crucial for both the candidates and the faculty. If significant work remains when the funding expires, the candidates quickly find themselves in a pressured situation where completion becomes increasingly challenging. Supervisors and the broader academic community also benefit from avoiding this situation.
The percentage delayed candidates vary significantly between departments. In this seminar, the faculty has invited two of the departments with good completion rates to share their experiences in ensuring successful completion. The faculty coordinator will open the seminar with a short presentation of the current and previous situation at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
