Cecilie Vindal Ødegaard

Professor, UiB, ASMOG Project Leader and Researcher

Ødegaard has previously conducted research on extractivism and energy politics in Peru; the energy transition in Svalbard as well as research on nature practices and labor.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Marianna Betti

Post Doctor, UiB, ASMOG Vice Project Manager and Researcher

Betti has extensive knowledge about energy and the anthropology of oil and gas and has conducted extensive fieldwork research in Kenya where she has been following an upstream extractive project.

 

 

Ståle Knudsen

Professor, UiB, ASMOG Researcher

Knudsen has research interests in the anthropology of knowledge and technology and has more recently conducted research on interactions between Norwegian corporations and society. 

 

 

 

 

Mads Solberg

Associate Professor, NTNU, ASMOG Researcher

Solberg has worked on human-machine interactions in healthcare and the molecular life-sciences. He is co-leader on WP1 “Professional epistemology” for the NRC-funded project PROSIM: Professional education and simulation-based training (2021-2024).

 

 

 

 

 

Kjetil Rommetveit

Associate Professor, UiB, Centre for the Study of the Sciences and the Humanities, ASMOG Researcher

Rommetveit has research interests in the area of human-machine interaction, the role of technology in society and autonomous robotics.

 

 

 

 

 

Daniel Oliver Paulsen

Doctoral Candiate

Paulsen holds a master's degree in social anthropology from the University of Bergen, with research conducted on waste management practices and environmental engagements in Thailand. As of late, Paulsen researched how the Covid-19 pandemic afflicted seafarers' working conditions

 

 

 

 

 

Marta Gentilucci

Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow

Gentilucci has previously conducted ethnographic research on mining in New Caledonia and human-sea relations in Mayotte. She is currently leading a research project on deep-sea mining, funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship.
