Launch of CET: Rapid societal change to meet the climate challenge?
We welcome you to attend the launch of CET - Centre for Climate and Energy Transformation, a new initiative at the University of Bergen. The aim of CET is to provide new knowledge on societal pathways to climate and energy transformation. CET will be a hub for interdisciplinary research, with a basis in the social sciences.
Main content
At the launch, you will meet CET researchers, students and partners. You will hear from policy makers about the importance of research-based knowledge on climate and energy transformation in policy-making at local, national and global levels. You will learn what UiB and CET will contribute with in this area. The official launch will be followed by a keynote presentation on pathways to rapid societal change, and a panel discussion on challenges for society to succeed with rapid transformation, and for CET to succeed as a research centre.
The venue for the launch is Media City Bergen (Lars Hilles Gate 30).
