Network meeting Asia studies at UiB and CMI
You are invited to participate digitally or in person for a digital meeting with representatives from the Nordic Centres and Norwegian embassies/Innovation Norway in Asia. They will inform us about how they may assist researchers working with or looking for opportunities to work with Asian partners. There will also be in-person presentations from HK-dir and UiB researchers with projects in Asia.

Welcome to a hybrid network meeting Thursday 29th August, 9.00-11.00.
The entire meeting can be attended digitally, but there will be a light lunch and opportunitites for networking after the meeting for in-person participants.

- Christabel Royan, Director, Nordic Center in India
HK-dir will give a presentation on how they support collaboration with countries in Asia, in particular related to the Panorama strategy and INTPART.
Presentation of projects/collaboration from UiB researchers:
- Atle Rotevatn, Head of Department, and colleagues, Department of Earth Science: Earth science and sustainability collaboration: UiB and Indonesian institutions
- Nathan Hopson, Associate professor, Department of Foreign Languages: Anti-anti-whaling discourse in Japan and Norway
