About Storsalen
Storsalen is the main hall in UiB Learning Arena and is suitable for larger seminars and conferences for up to 200 people, depending on the setup. Outside the hall, there are social zones with space for mingling and serving.

Facilities
Storsalen is located in the right part of the learning arena, with access either via Nordre Allmenning or through the entrance straight ahead from the reception.
Technical specifications
There are two separate technical systems. You as an organizer can carry out technically simple events by using the self-service system (typically PowerPoint presentations and microphones) while we connect the other system for more technically advanced events that require sound/light/image mix and one or more technicians to control this

Setup/capacity
Storsalen is 211 m2 and can accommodate up to 200 people at most. At one end of the hall, there is a movable stage/podium, making it possible to use the hall with or without a podium.
- Cinema: 180-200 seats
- Conference: 86 seats
- Banquet/round tables: 126 seats w/stage or 144 seats w/o/stage
Decoration
In line with the reuse profile for the entire Nygårdsgaten 5 project, the new Storsalen is decorated with parts of the stone mosaic by Bergen artist Reidar Johan Berle (1917-1997), which also characterized the entrance and staircase of the building before the renovation
