Team Samdal will lead through dialogue and team work

If successfully elected, Team Samdal will work towards developing the University of Bergen (UiB) into a more invigorating and open institution for knowledge with increased impact. We want to create an organisation where every employee and student feels part of a larger, more open and generous community, which they are proud to belong to.

The strength and quality of what we achieve as an institution lies in dialogue, interaction and team spirit.

If successfully elected, we will do this by:

  • Strengthening university democracy and encourage open discussions. A strong and well-functioning university democracy includes both the employees and the students in key decisions.
  • Enhancing the cross-organisational collaboration between scholars and central administrative units in order to achieve academic goals.
  • Strengthening the UiB's national and international impact as a visible and viable, research-intensive university. We want to empower ground-breaking and curiosity-driven research and innovative artistic development by supporting great ideas.
  • Contributing to societal change through an understanding of innovation based upon each disciplines’ prerequisites.
  • Improving the academic, physical and social learning environment at the UiB, where our students can develop as scholars and as individuals.
  • Establishing safe and secure conditions for staff and students both abroad and at the UiB in order to protect our international partnerships, our reputation, research and in particular our own values and security measures.

Who we are

We want knowledge and people to be at the forefront of all decisions we make. We have in-depth knowledge of the organisation and of the higher education sector. This is the very reason we place such emphasis upon transparency, trust and mobilising the entire UiB community to work together towards a common goal.
