Students registered at other faculties at The University of Bergen
Students at UiB may apply to take courses at MED. This is subject to availability and competence requirements. It is possible to take up to 30 credits in total, over a maximum of two semesters.
Students currently registered at other higher education institutions in Norway
Students registered at other higher education instiutions in Norway may apply to take single courses at MED. This is subject to availability and competence requirements. It is possible to take up to 30 credits in total, over a maximum of two semesters.
Resit of exams
Former students (BA) at MED wishing to re-sit exams in order to improve their grades in order for fulfil admission requirements for a Master degree (NB! this is beyond the ordinary rights to study) may apply to resit the exam(s) in question. The applicant must earlier have had the right to study at the programme in question at UiB. The department will consider the competence of the student and the question of capacity at the department. It is possible to take up to 30 credits in total, over a maximum of two semesters.
Employees at the faculty
Faculty employees searching additional competence may apply to be admitted to courses. These applicants must enclose confirmation from the employer that this additional competence is required. It is possible to take up to 30 credits in total, over a maximum of two semesters.
Employees at cooperating health institutions in Norway
Employees at cooperating health institutions searching additional competence may apply to be admitted to courses. These applicants must enclose confirmation from the employer that this additional competence is required. The department in question will look into the applicant’s competence and capacity at the department. It is possible to take up to 30 credits in total, over a maximum of two semesters.
PhD-candidates at other institutions in Norway
PhD-candidates at other Norwegian institutions may apply to take single courses at the Faculty. The applicant must enclose certified copy of letter of acceptance from his/her institution. The department in question will look into the applicant’s competence and capacity at the department. It is possible to take up to 30 credits in total, over a maximum of two semesters.
