Cautiously precautious - pollinators, pesticides and the precautionary principle in European environmental policy

I denne workshopen inviterer vi ei tverrfagleg gruppe forskarar og andre fagfolk for ein diskusjon om korleis europeiske juridiske og regulerande rammeverk kan tilpassast til å fremje smidige løysingar på alvorlege miljøtrugsmål.

Som den første i ein serie av workshops skal vi i dette møtet utforske korleis og kvifor europeiske beslutningstakarar i stor grad har mislukkast i å handle raskt og bestemt for å motverke nedgang i insektpollinering.

Workshopen er kun for inviterte deltakarar, men spesielt interesserte kan kontakte Johannes Oldervoll med førespurnad om å delta.

This case outlines scientific uncertainties and ambiguities regarding the effects of neonics on pollinators (but also other species), in addition to the diverging perceptions of the role of the precautionary principle.
