This workshop provides a chance to explore just that. Through inspiring talks of start-up founders, hands-on activities, and networking, you’ll get a taste of what it takes to turn research into a startup venture. The core audiences for this event are postdoctoral fellows, PhD students and master students at the Department of Information Science and Media Studies, but all PhD students at the Faculty of Social Sciences are welcome.
Highlights include:
- An introduction to VIS’ brand-new entrepreneurship program for researchers, TILT, tailored to provide researchers and graduate students with entrepreneurial skills, expert advisory services and access to capital and networks. Recruitment of pilot participants in progress!
- Inspirational stories from innovators who’ve made the transition to startup founders
- Case work to start building an entrepreneurial mindset
