Half-day seminar for PhD supervisors at the Faculty of Science and Technology
PhD education is a very important part of the faculty’s activities, and the supervisor role is particularly crucial in the PhD education. The Faculty of Science and Technology aims to facilitate the best possible handling of this role. In this regard, the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology is pleased to invite our Ph.D. supervisors to a half-day seminar. The seminar ends with a light lunch. The seminar will be held in English.

Vice Dean Professor Sigrunn Eliassen and Professor Sehoya Harris Cotner, Department of Biosciences In this interactive discussion we will present perspectives on effective supervision, and while there are aspects of supervision that are clearly beneficial to students, we will argue that there is not one way to be an effective supervisor. We will show some data from recent research and discuss selected case studies. |
