Announcement of the election to the NT-Faculty Board 2025
In the spring of 2025, general elections will be held for the faculty board and department councils at the NT faculty. We will have completely new boards this time, and until 19 March you can nominate candidates for your respective groups. For Gr. A and C the election period is 4 years, while for Gr. B and D it is one year. The new board period starts on 01.08.2025.

How to put forth proposals for members of the Faculty Board:
- The proposal must be in writing
- The proposal must be signed by at least the same number of proposers as the number of candidates the proposal contains
- The proposer(s) must be entitled to vote in the election
- No one can sign more than one proposal
- All proposed candidates must be eligible
- If any candidate is entitled to exemption from election, a written consent from the candidate must be attached to the proposal
- The proposal must be submitted no later than 12 noon on 19th March
Submit your proposals by e-mail to gry.parker@uib.no. The written proposal must be attached.
IMPORTANT:
Those who run for election must have a research activity that is compatible with the duty to attend the faculty board meetings.
Please be advised all the documents and discussions in the Faculty Board meetings are in Norwegian and a proficient level of the language is thus required.
Excluded from election to the faculty board are:
faculty director and their deputy
head of section in the faculty administration
head of department and their deputy
Excluded from election to the institute board are:
Head of Administration
