From 9th to 13th of June the 12th International conference on One Carbon Metabolism, B vitamins and Homocysteine was hosted by the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) in Spain. These themes are central in many projects in the nutrition field at UiB. The conference consisted of scientific sessions on a wide variety of topics chaired by experts in the field. Two PhD-candidates from the Centre for Nutrition, Vegard Lysne and Anthea Van Parys, travelled to Spain to present their work. Vegard presented data on the association between dietary composition and plasma values of one-carbon metabolites and B-vitamin status. Anthea gave an oral presentation about her project on dietary choline intake and acute myocardial infarction for which she won the student prize for best presentation. Congratulations!
