The topic for this webinar is “Medical Overuse and Climate Emissions from Healthcare.” Join us as we explore the critical intersection of healthcare practices and their environmental impact, and discuss strategies for reducing emissions while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Associate Professor Stefán Hjörleifsson is a faculty member the Department of Global Health and Primary Care. His research focuses on medical overuse, including overinvestigating, overdiagnosis, and overtreatment. He is also involved in clinical communication, exploring the intersection of biology, culture, and the meaning of disease, as well as addressing medically unexplained symptoms and depression care in general practice.
