Safety, preparedness and reporting for PhD candidates

UiB shall be a safe place for PhD candidates. Below you will find links relating to safety, preparedness or reporting.

On-call security service: Have you seen unauthorized people on campus, or for other reasons need contact with UiB's on-call security service? Please call +47 55 58 80 81.

The police: Are you a victim of a crime or have you witnessed one? Please contact the police (emergency number 112).

Prevention: At sikresiden.no you will find useful advice that prevents difficult situations and advice on what to do in a crisis situation.

HSE non-conformities: You must report health, security and environment (HSE) non-conformities to UiBhjelp.

Reporting: Report any undesirable incidents (deviations) in two ways:

  • If you are employed as a research fellow at UiB, you must follow guidelines for UiB employees.
  • If you are employed elsewhere than UiB and wish to report about conditions in the PhD education at UiB, you must report this in one of the forms you can find on the student page Speak up!. PhD candidates employed elsewhere than UiB are considered as students on the Speak up! site.
