The European Educational Programme in Epidemiology (EEPE) is a renowned residential summer course held on a campus in Florence, Italy. It is dedicated to enhancing the epidemiological skills and knowledge of its participants, providing an invaluable platform for students and researchers to expand their research capabilities.

Shanshan Xu’s research focuses on investigating the associations between long-term exposure to air pollution and greenness on respiratory health outcomes. Meanwhile, Robin Mzati Sinsamala explores how inter-generational exposure to these environmental factors could affect the respiratory health of future generations.

With their advanced training and insights, Xu and Sinsamala are now well-prepared to contribute to the ongoing research within the Life-GAP project. The project team looks forward to the research findings they will produce.
