On November 2, 2023, PhD candidate Kui Xiang delivered an insightful trial lecture on the application of artificial intelligence in seismic modeling and inversion at the Department of Earth Sciences at UiB. The lecture drew an audience of 14, including both experts and PhD students from various disciplines. Following the presentation, Kui engaged with the committee members in a discussion and then addressed questions from the audience.
We extend our congratulations to Kui for delivering a successful lecture and look forward to his upcoming PhD defense. It is scheduled for November 16, at 14:15, in Auditorium 3.
