A member of our research group – Anders Madsen will defend his PhD degree on the 18th of March 2022 (HUS - BB-bygget, Auditorium 4 / Digitalt møterom).

His dissertation investigates "Antibody responses to influenza viruses: Lessons for universal influenza vaccine development" and has been supervised by Professor Rebecca Cox (UiB), Associate Professor Kristin Greve-Isdahl Mohn (UiB) and Professor Ali Ellebedy (Washington University Hospital in St. Louis).

The opponents will be Professors Anke Huckriede (University Medical Center Groningen, Netherlands) and Guus Rimmelzwaan (University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover, Germany). Professor Harald G. Wiker will chair the Committee.

Anders has been a part of our research group since 2015, working as a medical research student. He completed his medical degree in December 2021 and is now working at the Emergency Care Clinic, Haukeland University Hospital (HUS). His research interests are immunology and vaccinology, and especially universal influenza vaccines.
