Norwegian Legal History conference 2023

The Research Group for Legal Culture, Legal History and Comparative Law at the University of Bergen hosts the fourth Norwegian Legal History conference on Friday 17. November 2023 in Bergen.

The research group wishes to extend an invitation to researchers in all positions and students, who are interested in gaining insight into the field of legal history and it's research environment, to this year's Norwegian Legal History conference. This event aims to facilitate the exchange of new and current research in the field of legal history.

It has been five years since the last Norwegian Legal History conference took place in Oslo, and during this time, significant developments have occurred both nationally and internationally within the field of research. The conference will feature presentations of new legal historical research, including upcoming and newly initiated projects, as well as results from completed research projects in recent years.
