Researching online culture - where to start?
Bergen Media Use Group and Center for Digital Narrative are organizing a workshop on methods for researching cultural phenomena on the internet.
Main content
Abstract
Researching cultural phenomena on the internet can mean many different things, and be done in many different ways. Where do you start with developing ideas for your research? In this workshop, you will hear two short talks by scholars who have experience with ethnography and social media methods, and you have an opportunity to pitch and get feedback on a research idea you want to work on, or a methodological challenge you have encountered. The workshop ends with lunch for everyone who signs up.
