Background
I have worked in clinical neurology since finishing my medical education in 2002. During this time, I also had the opportunity to get laboratory training at the Neurological Research lab in the department.
Research
I am currently doing my PhD thesis work under the supervision of Professor Laurence A Bindoff, in collaboration with my colleagues in the research group and our collaborators in Newcastle University, where I've had two research stays. My thesis is made up of clinical and molecular studies of single mitochondrial disease patients with novel or unusual findings.
