The research has resulted in new knowledge and a better understanding of changes in the brain in certain mental disorders such as depression and anxiety and the treatment for this (electroshock and psychotherapy).
This knowledge will be of great importance in being able to develop personalized and effective treatment for younger and older patients in the future, according to the jury.
This is a great inspiration for me and a great honour. The fact that I have gained confidence in being able to work with this has made me a better researcher, says Ousdal.
