Research

Translational, clinical and molecular research in the field of neurophysiology with focus on neurodegenerative diseases.

Projects

Identify the pathological mechanisms behind PCD to develop neuroprotective therapy.

  1. Purkinje neuron physiology: The functional role of cerebellar degeneration-related (CDR) proteins
  2.  Cell calcium homeostasis: CDR interactions with ion channels and subcellular organelles
  3.  Create efficient PCD model systems: PCD characterization and drug targets identification
