Margrethe Raspotnig is a resident in neurology at the Department of Neurology, Haukeland University Hospital, Bergen, and a PhD student at the Department of Clinical Medicine (K1), University of Bergen.

Research
Margrethe Raspotnig is doing research on the target antigens in paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration. With her background as a resident in neurology, she is interested in the clinical aspects of paraneoplastic neurological syndromes and research involving human samples.
Projects
- Investigate the expression pattern of cerebellar-degeneration related proteins, the target antigens for the immune response in paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration.
- Study the immune response in patients with specific types of cancer related to paraneoplastic neurological disorders, ie small-cell lung cancer and ovarian cancer.
- Make a biobank consisting of samples from patients with paraneoplastic neurological syndromes and non-paraneoplastic autoimmune encephalitis.
