Differences between chronotype in energy intake, activity and sleep in a student population
Main content
My student scholarship aims to investigate whether evening-chronotype compared to morning-chronotype is associated with shorter sleep length, inactivity at daytime, higher energy intake and late rhythm of food intake in a student population. Subjective and objective sleep length, physical activity, total energy intake, macronutrients and rhythm of food intake will be measured both on workdays and on free days. This will generate new insight in association between sleep, nutrition and activity, which are important factors for health and wellbeing as well as academic performance.
