Network meetings (FSKLI901)

The network meetings are the main sosial events among the PhD candidates at the Department of clinical medicine, the Department of clinical science and Haukeland University Hospital.

The meetings are arranged every second month at lunch-time in the lab building. The meetings consists of 2-3 scientific presentations from various clinical PhD candidates, discussions around the presentations and ends with a free informal lunch for the attendees.

This spring (2024) we are having network luncheons on these dates at 11.30-13.00:

• Tuesday 20.02.2024
• Tuesday 30.04.2024
• Tuesday 11.06.2024

We need speakers on all these dates!!! If you have the opportunity and need/want more experience in presentations, please respond as soon as possible :)

Network luncheons in general are a great opportunity to share your work, to expand your network and learn about other fields than you work with yourself.

By presenting in these luncheons, you will get more experience and become more confident to talk about your work. Hopefully, you will achieve a discussion getting more perspectives about your field. Perspectives that you might not get when presenting in front of your research group only. If you are planning to go to a conference, you will be more prepared after presenting in these luncheons. Also, you will get a great coffee cup in reward =)

In addition, you can achieve 1 ECTS credit if you attend 3 luncheons and present your work in one of them during two semesters. If you would like to achieve this credit, please contact kjetil.harkestad@uib.no
