Learning Support

The Learning Support function area is responsible for pedagogical and technical user support for the learning platform and coordinates the work involved in making provisions for students.

Study Quality

The Study Quality function area has the administrative responsibility for maintaining and developing the quality assurance system.

Student Mobility

This group is responsible for both inbound and outbound student mobility related to bilateral agreements, Erasmus agreements and various programs and networks, such as Nordlys, and the management of these agreements, networks and programs, and emergency preparedness for students going abroad.

Admissions

This group is responsible for admissions and change of name/personal ID number in FS.

Information and Student Recruitment

The Division of Student Affairs, section for digital services, in collaboration with the faculties, has the responsibility for recruitment and providing information for students.

Timetabling and room reservations

The function area is responsible for timetabling and allocation of rooms for educational activities, routines for this and for follow-up of scheduling and the system for booking rooms. Employees order rooms themselves for activities that do not involve teaching.

Assessment and Examination

Section for Studies Administration has tasks linked with the practical aspects of administering examinations.

UiB Videre

UiB Videre is responsible for outreach and admissions for continuing and further education offered at UiB and assists by providing guidance to academic environments in the faculties as well as to external collaborative partners.

Staff at SA

SA staff members coordinate and provide guidance within their own department as well as in the organization at large.

Common Student System (FS)

UiB's Common Student System (FS) is the University of Bergen's student administration system. The system is developed by USIT, University of Oslo, and is used by all universities and most colleges in Norway.
