UiB Staff Mobility Week 2022

SMW-22 was originally directed towards UiB partners in the Arqus alliance. When UiBs involvement in the alliance changed, smw was also opened for participants from other institutions . In the end it was only 11 participants, 5 from Arqus partners. 

The first day at SMW had sustainability and climate as the theme, and the last day digitization of higher education. The participants gave presentations where they spoke about what their own institution had done. UiB had two presentations; 1) The Erasmus bus and 2) The sustainability pilots.

"Meet the faculties" was a new program item. The participants were able to visit a faculty or department. This also meant some involvement from the exchange officer at the faculty of Law, the Social science and Faculty of medicine, in addition to the Department of Communication and UiB Learning lab.  

Another new “item” in SMW, was an attempt on virtual SMW. We had a digital evaluation and experience sharing meeting approx. two weeks after the physical event in Bergen. We wanted to test how such a hybrid extension of the event worked for both the participants and us as organizers. The participants were very positive to meet again like this. There were seven participants who took part, two did not get the digital solution to work, and two did not have the opportunity to participate.
