What can we do for you?

Our student counsellors will help you with questions concerning your studies and being a student:

  • General information on programmes and studies
  • Help and guidance to make the right priorities
  • Information on admission, registration and applications
  • Information on university rules and regulations
  • Other enquiries related to your studies

Where and when?

At the beginning of the semester, in week 34 and 35, we offer our students drop-in guidance. Meet outside the student counseling office at the SV building (Fosswinckels gate 6) at the scheduled time for guidance for your study program. Here, you can write your name on a list, and the study advisor will call you when it's your turn.

The booking calendar is closed during this period and will open in week 35 with the possibility to book appointments starting from September 2nd.

If you wish to schedule an appointment with a student advisor at the Faculty of Social Sciences, you can book this directly in our

Booking Calendar.

A reminder will be sent one day before the scheduled appointment, and you can cancel or change the appointment directly in the calendar.

You will meet the student advisor on the 3rd floor of the SV building (Fosswinckelsgate 6), with the following exceptions:

Guidance in journalism, TV production, and media and interaction design: Media City Bergen is located at Lars Hilles gate 30.
